Life Through Every Word of God

Mt 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

The source of true life is found in one place alone; Every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. Take careful notice of the most important word in this verse..

-Every-

This is the little Greek word... pas, which means -All-. It is the word around which great battles have been raging concerning whether or not Messiah died for all men; 1. Without exception. 2. Without distinction. In other words does -All- mean all in a universal sense or is it confined to the context of the subject of discussion. In the case of Messiah's statement in Matt 4:4 He uses it in a universal way meaning every word spoken by God. Of course those precious words can be found in only one place, the Scriptures. They alone are the source of truth and life.

Many people who give lip service to the Bible; The Scriptures, claiming to believe everything contained therein really do not. One example. In Matthew 12:40 Messiah stated that He would be in the heart of the earth for the space of three nights. I know... He actually said "...three days and three nights." Most believe He went into the tomb at 6 PM on a Friday and came out sometime on or before 6 AM the following Sunday. This is the 'traditional' view of His burial which attempts to squeeze "three days -And Three Nights-" into a time span of 36 hours at the most. Such a view destroys the meaning of the words "..and three -Nights-" spoken by Messiah. One might be able to squeeze three days out of "Friday evening to Sunday morning" but there's no way one can find three -Nights- within such a time period. Those who hold such a view violate the saying of Messiah that man shall live by;

-Every-

word that proceeds out of the mouth of God because they are denying and rejecting three very important words spoken by Messiah when He said... "-And Three Nights-" there in Matthew 12:40. For a complete account of this most important doctrine of Messiah's Entombment visit;
